McPhee wins Powercor Tender

McPhee Distribution has been selected by Powercor Limited to continue it's ten year warehousing & distribution services partnership. The new contract is for a further 3 years and followed a complex & very competitive tender process.

Powercor & Citipower operates Victoria's largest electricity network covering an area of 150,000 square kilometers including Melbourne & Western Victoria. Powercor & Citipower is regarded as one of the most efficient electricity suppliers in Australia and relies on McPhee's flexibility & responsiveness in maintaining it's high levels of service & customer satisfaction.

New Melbourne Facility Now Open

Our new 12,000 m2 warehouse opened for operation in December 2008, the new facilities supports our current Powercor operation & retail buiness, with space available for new partnerships throughout 2009

The purpose built facility, built & delivered on time by Qanstruct includes state of the art equipment to support the latest technology and security.With 8,000 spaces for pallet rack product , and ample block stacking available.Ther are also opportunities to lease offices on site to support our interstate partners

This acquisition is part of the continued expansion of McPhee following the opening of our Perth warehouse in Decmber 2006, with further new operations commencing in both Sydney and Brisbane throughout 2009

Once again McPhee Distribution Services, led by hands on Senior Management, are looking to set the standards in 3PL , by offering 1st class facilities in all major centres throughout Australia, supported by our strong operational focus staff

McPhee Supports Bush Fire Appeal

Staff at McPhee initiated a collection of cash donations to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.After management agreed to donate a dollar for every dollar collected & the sum of $6,700 was forwarded to the appeal.

Michael CurranMichael Curran joins the McPhee Melbourne team.

Michael has in excess of 30 years experience in logistics, across a broad spectrum of modes of transport and storage.  Starting in International Shipping  Michael progressed into senior management roles specializing in the S.E. Asian and European markets.  Michael then focused his efforts on land based transport, warehousing, freight forwarding and 3PL logistics.  Companies worked for included Australian National Line, Cosco, Finemores and Toll.

Michael is an active participant with the Victorian Transport Association and various government/industry studies in an effort to facilitate improvements for the wider community and industry.
